Ceremonial Promotion of Helen Littleberry

A truly special and inspiring day as we celebrated the ceremonial promotion of Detective Helen Littleberry—a historic moment that brought together our department, our partners, and our community.

The room was filled with active and retired members of the White Plains Police Department, along with colleagues from neighboring agencies, all gathered to honor a trailblazer whose legacy continues to resonate. We were proud to welcome Mayor Justin Brasch, Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins, members of the Common Council—Victoria Presser, Jeremiah Frei-Pearson, Evelyn Santiago, and Nick Wolf—as well as County Legislators Jewel Williams-Johnson and Jenn Puja. Also in attendance were Chief of Police Daniel McMahon, Deputy Commissioner Joseph Castelli, and Commissioner of Public Safety Wade Hardy.

Most meaningful of all was the presence of Detective Littleberry’s family, including her daughter and granddaughter, who traveled from North Carolina and Georgia to be part of this unforgettable occasion.

It was more than a ceremony—it was a celebration of legacy, perseverance, and the enduring impact of service.
