Members of the Police Retirees Association recently helped lay to rest our brother, retired Police Officer Kenneth Smith. Kenny honorably served the White Plains Police Department for 33 years, spending the majority of his career assigned to the Motorcycle Unit. He was also a dedicated police instructor, a proud member of the Police Honor Guard, and a committed youth mentor for more than 30 years.
Kenny served with distinction on the White Plains My Brother’s Keeper Initiative Advisory Committee, where he tirelessly provided encouragement, guidance, and mentorship, especially to at-risk youth. His compassion, dedication, and service left a lasting impact on the City of White Plains Police Department and throughout the community. Our hearts are with his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Kenny’s legacy.
Kenny is survived by his wife Barbara, son Anthony and daughter Amanda.
